Parking Legend Donald Shoup to Box Hasbro CEO in Celebrity Boxing Match

LAS VEGAS - Following the success of other celebrity boxing matches such as Logan Paul verses Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul verses Ben Askren, retired professor Donald Shoup (82) will face Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner (58) in Las Vegas on September 17, 2021. Donald Shoup has been actively petitioning to remove the Free Parking space in the classic Hasbro boardgame Monopoly. Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner has repeatedly declined to make this change leading to Shoup deciding to put his money where his mouth is. Shoup challenged Goldner to a celebrity boxing match on September 17, also known as Parking Day, and the winner will get to decide whether the Free Parking space in Monopoly will be changed or remain the same. When asked about concerns about the age difference of Shoup, now 82, and Goldner only being 58, Shoup responded, “Mayweather is nearly 20 years older than Landon [sic] Paul and look what Mayweather was able to do to that punk a** YouTuber b****.” The fight can be viewed on Showtime PPV on all traditional cable and satellite providers as well as on ParkingToday.com for $49.99. Shoup’s purse for the match will be $2 million which he plans to put back into nearby neighborhoods for street and community improvements where the fight will take place.
